Think tank; Parramatta
Though the programme of a Think tank was never fully defined by the brief the building became and experiment in form on a corner site in the Parramatta CBD. The design take on a civic precedence with a square structure floating above the public realm. A structured parasite containing the brain of the city itself attaching to an existing urban form. Below the public space the site terraces down to the river providing civic promenades. Projecting through these promenades are gum trees injecting a connection to nature into these urban spaces.
